On our trip so far, we have had the pleasure of talking to some inspiring entrepreneurs. We have learnt one of the most important lessons: Talk about your idea and be challenged.
Who are you and why do you want to set up your own business?
We are two young guys who want to get things rolling and create something new - from zero to one. In addition to our 100% jobs and our studies, we are currently working passionately on our latest idea: Amity. We are convinced that there is enormous untapped potential in young people. Our aim is to realise this potential and bring the right people together.
What is your idea and how did you come up with it?
Imagine you walk into a room with 50 people - how do you find out who might be interesting to you and how do others know that you are interesting to them? That's where Amity comes in. We connect you with the right people on the right topics at a time that fits seamlessly into your everyday life. This allows you to concentrate on the essentials during the meetings - ‘let ideas grow’.
The idea for Amity came about because we understand the value of knowledge and different perspectives. We know the impact they can have on your life. We wanted to create a solution that doesn't leave connecting to chance or superficial criteria. Instead, we bring people together who can learn and benefit from each other. That's what drives us: a solution for people who want to develop themselves.
Has taking part in ZHAWentures helped you progress and why?
The programme opened doors for us and brought us together with people who coached us and gave us valuable food for thought and new perspectives. That helped us enormously. ZHAWentures was the perfect introduction to entrepreneurship for us and we can recommend it to anyone who wants to develop in this direction and gain initial experience.
What has been your most important learning on your entrepreneur journey so far?
We have become even more fascinated by people who have already successfully built something. On our trip so far, we have had the pleasure of talking to some inspiring entrepreneurs. We have learnt one of the most important lessons: Talk about your idea and be challenged. We have realised how important it is to remain flexible and not stubbornly stick to the original idea. After all, it's not about this idea being the right one, but about discovering the right idea.
What are your next steps with your idea?
