Event Overview:
Hack4SocialGood 2025 is a two-day hackathon happening on April 4 and 5, 2025, in Olten, Switzerland. The event brings together professionals from social and technical fields to collaboratively create digital solutions for challenges faced by social organizations.
Structure and Schedule:
The hackathon begins on Friday at 10:00 AM with thematic inputs, challenge presentations, and the formation of interdisciplinary working groups. Teams will work on solutions until Saturday at 2:30 PM, when they will present their results. The event concludes with awards for the best solutions, including a CHF 2000 jury prize sponsored by the Otto Wirz Foundation.
Additional Features:
Participants will enjoy catering, social breaks, and entertainment throughout the event. A workshop titled "Digitalization and Robots in Action" is available for children aged 4–12 on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, allowing parents to fully engage in the hackathon. Registration for the workshop closes on March 15, 2025.
Language and Accessibility:
The event will be conducted in German and English. However, live translation will not be provided, so participants should be comfortable with either language.
